I was born in Boston, Massachusetts and moved to Vista in 1949. I attended Vista High School, graduating in 1957. After High school I traveled the South Pacific by sail, working on pleasure yachts for several years, then joined the United States Amy and finished my education with a BS in Insurance and finance.

In 1969, I returned to Vista and followed my father, “Tex” Gross’ footsteps and joined his agency, Gross Insurance Agency and eventually purchased it a few years later. I continued for 25 years on my own and then worked for a few years here and there, until I landed with Alta Vista Insurance Agency in 2010.

I am a proud father of three daughters, who have blessed me with seven grandchildren. My Bride, Vicki and I have been together 23 years and share a passion for fine wine and dining. I am a member of the Amigos de Vista Lions Club and enjoy the company of my old fiends and the camaraderie we share. I enjoy Photography, collecting Art and woodworking.
